USG KUB evaluates the urinary system and is commonly used for detecting kidney stones, obstruction, hydronephrosis and abnormalities of the urinary bladder.

Preparation

Usually requires a moderately/full urinary bladder. Drink water before the examination. Avoid urinating until instructed. Fasting is generally not required for an isolated KUB study.
